Philippa Cooper, Managing Director and Wellness Coach
Philippa believes a balance of healthy food, support, nature and exercise can help you to reset your mind and focus on future goals.
A former body builder and triathlete competitor, Philippa knows the importance of looking after your body and your mind. Being a mum, grandma and running her own business also means that she knows how the daily stresses of life can become overwhelming and you just forget to look after yourself.
If you want to lose weight, Philippa can work out what issues may be hindering your progress, and also support and motivate you on your journey. Her many years in the health and fitness industry means she knows how to get results. She will arm you with knowledge, recipes, meal plans, an exercise regime, and support so you can carry on your new routine at home.
As a trained wellness coach, she can also support you to help you find balance in your life. Philippa runs the Retreat and supports people in all aspects of their lives. She can also help you if you live locally.
Philippa’s ultimate goal is for you to go away feeling like a better version of yourself and supported for future challenges.
OUR PERSONAL TRAINERS
The Bay of Islands Health Club is fortunate to have two experienced and friendly personal trainers to support the local community and our Retreat clients. We choose our trainers carefully and they are absolutely wonderful with our clients. They aim to take the stress out of coming to the gym. Our trainers will adjust the sessions to your level, whether or not you have been to a gym before.
GJ is a certified personal trainer with many year's experience. He has a background in golf and rugby league, playing both at a very high level. He excels at strength building, weight loss and sports conditioning, supporting and motivating clients.
